Armada Mezzanine Capital Oy is an independent mezzanine firm focused on financing buy-outs and expansion of Nordic small and medium-sized companies with offices in Helsinki and Stockholm.

Armada Mezzanine was founded in January 2010 as a result of Eqvitec Partners’ decision to divest its mezzanine activities to its mezzanine team consisting of Pertti Nurmio, Ilkka Santti and Jan Wiklund. Please see the press release for more information on the transaction.

Armada Mezzanine has a team of six investment professionals working from the Helsinki and Stockholm offices.

The team will continue the current investment strategy and focus primarily on:

• Nordic small and medium-sized companies with enterprise values between €20-150 million
• Industrial products, services and technology sectors
• Buy-outs, expansion financing and recapitalizations

Over the years the team has invested mezzanine capital in close to thirty Nordic-based companies, usually supporting leading private equity sponsors in their buy-out transactions.

We are currently investing from our third fund, Armada Mezzanine Fund III amounting to €103 million. The fund had a final closing in the spring of 2009. The previous fund, Armada Mezzanine Fund II (€53 million), is fully invested in eight companies and is closed for new investments.

Armada Mezzanine Fund III investors include inter-alia Selected Mezzanine Funds I Ky, Suomi Mutual, The State Pension Fund of Finland, Varma, NIB, Finnish Industry Investment, EIF, Pension Fennia, OP Life Assurance Company and Sitra.
