Mezzanine investment in the EET Nordic Group in DenmarkArmada Mezzanine Fund III has provided mezzanine financing in support of Alipes AB’s acquisition of EET Nordic Group A/S ("EET" or the "Company") from Capidea. The management team remains in place and continues to hold a minority stake in the Company.
EET is a pan-European niche-distributor of IT components and spare parts. The Company is represented with offices in Denmark and 15 other European countries. EET represents a broad range of leading OEMs and electronics brands such as HP, Lexmark, IBM, Canon, Acer, Axis, Cisco – in total 275 brands and over 200,000 product numbers. In 2009/10 EET had a turnover of c.DKK 794 million and EBITDA of c.DKK 75 million. The Company currently has around 230 employees throughout Europe.
"It is an interesting opportunity for us to take part in this transaction and we have great confidence in both management and the Alipes team. The investment will fit well in our portfolio given the proven resilience of the business during the last few years and the Company’s strong market position. We believe the aftermarket for IT components and spare parts is an exceptionally attractive market and that EET is well positioned to consolidate this fast growing segment.", says Jan Wiklund, Partner of Armada Mezzanine.
